The NDA Rule: How a 5-Minute GA4 Audit Gets You Access Before You Ever Send a Proposal

GA4 data retention set to two months?
That is the default setting in GA4, and on a rolling basis it means you might be erasing your own history. Most people have never opened the setting.
This is one of about a dozen things our GA4 audit Chrome extension surfaces, and this week I walk through the whole report.
Watch: How a 5-Minute GA4 Audit Gets You Access Before You Ever Send a Proposal
The audit runs in your own browser, touches nothing on the client's end, and exports to a PDF. It reads every data stream, URL, and measurement ID. It flags Google Signals and data retention. It tells you whether BigQuery, Google Ads, and Search Console are linked. It pulls the full property and account access list.
Audiences, custom definitions, channel groups, reporting identity, consent signals, enhanced measurement, and URL parameter redaction all get checked. Every item comes back with a flag: configured, not configured, or needs attention.
We ran it on our own property. The access list surfaced people who still had credentials they no longer needed. If it does that for a team living in GA4 every day, expect more from a property nobody has opened in eighteen months.
In this week’s video, I go through each flag and what it actually tells you.
