No GTM Required: Ad Tracking in Under 10 Minutes

Manisha builds Facebook + Google Ads tracking from scratch in under 10 minutes.

Every new ad client used to mean another GTM build.

If you run ads for more than one client, you know the drill. Win the account, then spend the first week wiring up tracking before a single dollar gets spent. Base pixel, a conversion tag for every event, a server container for CAPI, consent mode, QA, publish. Manisha calls it the “tracking tax,” and she knows many ad agency owners who pay it when they take on new clients.

This week she recorded a walkthrough of how we have been getting out of this work, and I wanted to put it in front of you. Quick disclosure up top: Tracklution sponsored this one. We only show tools we actually use, and this is one we reach for on our own accounts.

The premise is simple. No GTM container. You set up Tracklution then paste a couple of IDs and the tracking is live.

A few things worth watching for:

One hub for every client. Instead of logging into five separate setups, every client’s container lives in one place. For an agency that alone is the pitch.

Meta in two fields. Conversions API used to mean tags, triggers, and a server container. Here it’s a Pixel ID and an access token. Toggle to live, done.

Google Ads conversions that build themselves. Enter the customer ID, grant access, and set up new conversion actions right in Tracklution, no digging through the conversions in Google Ads.

On top of all that, Tracklution also offers Trackie, their AI assistant that can check your actual setup, see what’s actually firing and tell you what’s missing. Manisha says it unblocks her nine times out of ten, which matters a lot more at 10pm than at 10am.

She sets a timer and builds a fresh container from scratch, Facebook and Google Ads tracking both, in under ten minutes. Watch how little is actually involved.

If you’ve been eating the tracking tax on every onboarding, this is twelve minutes well spent.
