Built to Come Back To

It seems like everyone's building a marketing tool with AI right now.
“Vibe coding” has made it genuinely easy to spin up apps, Chrome extensions, little tools that solve a specific problem. I've met so many people doing exactly that. And I'm one of them.
But over the past few months, I’ve realized there are real levels at play here when it comes to developing these apps:
- Building something for yourself
- Building something for yourself plus a few others
- Building a fully functioning app
- Building something people actually come back to
That last one is the hard part. It’s the difference between being a weekend warrior and developing a full-on software product.
As a user, you probably give the app an equal amount of attention. If it looks like a weekend project, you'll spend a few minutes' worth of attention on it. You spin the wheel once, then move on.
I've shipped a few tools like that this year. Quick to build, useful in the moment, and then nobody came back. Including me.
Right now, I’m working on something more long-term. A tool you'd actually use on a regular cadence (daily, weekly, monthly) to see whether your tracking is working. Reports you look forward to. Something with staying power. Designed for both agencies with dozens of clients and in-house marketers who just want a safety net.
I hoped to have it ready before MeasureSummit, but it wasn’t there yet. I have a few more tweaks to make before opening it up to the public.
The beta starts in the next few weeks. If you want to see it early and give me real feedback, just reply to this email and I'll add you.
